After putting on a show for his eponymous collection during New York Fashion Week Jeremy Scott headed to Milan to present his spring 2016 collection for
Moschino. Never one for subtlety, Scott constructed a set that recalled, well, a construction site, which later transformed into a swirling, bubbling auto spa. The collection was filled with nods to these mundane aspects of daily life: fringed and feathered dresses that recalled a car wash and a feather duster, respectively; bags in the shapes of traffic cones, rearview mirror dice and caution signs; sexy versions of construction worker getups and a
fragrance bottle shaped (and branded like) a household cleaner. Aside from that, Scott's requisite pop cultural obsession this season is the Powerpuff Girls, and the cutesy cartoons appeared on a number of vivid separates.
Moschino's Spring '16 collection exemplifies Jeremy Scott's bold approach to design. This black T-shirt dress is crafted from lustrous stretch-satin and decorated with the houses's logo in contrasting white.
Moschino's Spring '16 collection is inspired by world of construction. This mini dress has been crafted in Italy from smoothing stretch-satin with precision-placed darts to flatter your torso. It's playfully decorated with a sign-inspired motif spelling 'Shop' in glistening red and white sequins.
'Clothed For Construction' is Moschino's Spring '16 tagline. Printed with a tool-inspired motif, this cropped top has a cozy hood, ribbed trims and a slouchy yet flattering fit. We love Moschino's off-beat aesthetic - these vibrant orange jersey track pants are printed with a white clamp motif referencing the label's construction sign-inspired Spring '16 collection.
This Italian-made black, red and white leather shoulder bag is shaped like a traditional stop sign playfully altered to read 'SHOP'. The compact satin-lined interior has just enough room for your cell phone, cards and keys.
